The Tibetan Monks of the Swiss Rikon Monastery visit our concert
What a great honor to have the eight resident monks of the Swiss tibetan Monastery of Rikon visiting our concert in Winterthur last Monday. They were very impressed with my musicians and liked the concert very much. Their positive feedback means a lot to me.

Dechen Shak-Dagsay and Richard Gere
What a wonderful personality! I had the chance to meet
Richard Gere this morning in Zürich as he was here for the 8th Zurich Film Festival to promote his movie "Arbitrage" with Susan Sarandon and to pick up the "Golden Icon Award 2012". I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to speak to Richard and to express my thanks for his untiring support for Tibet and the preservation of our culture. He was happy to hear about all our social engagements in Tibet and encouraged me to continue this important social work through my music. Therefore I was honored to present Richard my current album "JEWEL" produced by Helge van Dyk. I am happy to feel his kindness and his keen interest. Yours Dechen
Meeting the Tibetan Monks from Drepung Gomang Monastery
It was an honour for me to meet the Tibetan monks from Drepung Gomang Monastery from South India who opened the Benefice Concert of Philipp Glass at Carnegie Hall in New York with their impressive Prayer. Everyone in the hall was totally taken by this powerful blessing. The JEWEL Ensemble and the monks waiting for their performance in the backstage area.
