Meeting the wonderful Patti Smith!

Dear friends,
Last night Van Dyk Helge and myself had the great honor of meeting the grand Rock Lady Patti Smith and her band backstage after their impressive concert at the sold out Volkshaus in Zürich. It was like we have known each other for years. I thanked Patti for all her unwavering support for not only Tibet throughout all these years but also for standing up against injustice in this world and encouraging people to raise their voices for a more peaceful world. It was so cool to meet Patti's Band again, who we had performed with together not so long ago at Carnegie Hall in New York.
Patti dedicated one song to the victims of the terror attacks in Istanbul and expressed her deepest sympathie, as they had performed in Istanbul just a few days earlier.
Let's all pray for the victims and their families. It's the prayers that have the power to heal the wounds of the hearts.
